Make Your Own Blog – 7 Tips to Blog Like a Boss

 Tip # 1 –  Understanding

When I first started this venture of blogging I had this feeling of being a failure Make your own blogbefore I even began. Although I was very excited I still had those voices in my head that pushed me down. Who makes money doing that? You can’t make your own blog and expect to make money from it.  I would tell myself that constantly.

Then started a training program with a blogging community Wealthy Affiliate which I ran into online and I began to realize one thing as I looked at several pages of the internet. I was looking at the big picture of the internet at this point. I saw something that changed the way I thought about internet marketing forever.

What I saw was the exact opposite of that first negative question I had about blogging, to begin with. Who can’t make money doing this?

The answer is no one CAN’T make money blogging. Just look at the internet and you will see that most of it will contain blogs. If you Google anything today, you are going to see a link to some sort of blog. Are there blogs not making money?

You damn right there are, in fact, most of them aren’t making anything and probably will never make a single dime.

Why is that you may ask and I quote from one of my favorite Denzel Washington movies: “This shit is chess it isn’t checkers!” Blogging takes time and perseverance just like any other business will.

Understanding this is Step 1 of building a blog like a boss and realize that if there wasn’t money to be made in blogging NOBODY would do it.

Tip# 2 – Research

Research is a vital part of blogging. Whatever your niche maybe you need to get involved in that community of people. Just reading other blogger’s blogs isn’t going to cut it. You need to know who the top bloggers are in the niche and follow their movements.

Do not copy their efforts or anything like that but look at what they are doing, how they are doing it and if you don’t know how they are doing it go figure out the process. It will take time but if you follow and learn from the best in the niche then you will be on your way to being a boss in the niche.

If you think that you are going to reinvent the wheel of blogging, then you are highly mistaken. Looking for what is working for others is a much better way of doing things. The next tip can also be placed here as you should try to figure out what tools the top bloggers are using in your niche.

Tip# 3  – Tools

Tools can make or break you in the blogging game. Yes, you need tools but don’t use so many tools that you become unproductive and broke. Regardless of what all the bloggers out there say, you can run a blog with all the free tools.

Will it slow you down, sure it will but it can be done. It’s not completely necessary to have an email autoresponder, keyword research tool or even your own domain website. It becomes much easier with these tools but I would still call them optional.

New tools often take a while to learn and if you didn’t read something and can’t figure it out then you are wasting productivity time. I would say that exploring these options is okay but make a schedule for your writing and stick with it. The most important tools in blogging is a word processor and an internet connection.

Tip# 4 – Content is King

Bloggers often get confused about what they are doing on the internet in the first place. There are only a few purposes for a blog and the number one thing is to INFORM. People are searching for answers to problems they are having at any given moment and they look for experts on the subject.

There are many people who believe that the people who are at the top of the Google search engines are the experts. When it’s just a blogger or blogging team that knows how to work the search engines.

The key tip here is to know your role as the blogger. Writing relevant information about the keyword or phrase you are targeting is essential for success as a boss blogger.

Tip# 5 – Photography

The next tip I want to share is to make sure that your content contains relevant pictures to go along with the text. Readers tend to get bored fast and keeping their attention is hard.

A page full of text is not the way to keep visitors on a website. The reason is that we as humans are also impatient and we don’t want to take the time to read every ounce of text.

Instead, bloggers need to have pictures, chart, and graphs to make it seem that there isn’t that much to read.

Tip# 6 – Comments

Always include a comment section in a blog. People love to comment and have their opinions expressed. You as the blogger should leave no comment left unresolved. You don’t have to agree with all the comments but they should all have a reply from you.

The commenters are your guests and if you get a good amount of comments, google will reward you with higher rankings. This doesn’t include spammers, however. For Google to take comments into consideration they need to be good and relevant in detail and not just someone saying good post.

Tip# 7 – Training and Mentorship

Starting out as a blogger is a difficult challenge and very hard to learn on your own. I started out in a blogging community called Wealthy Affiliate and I am still a member today.

The community has a Free membership opportunity with access to two free WordPress websites. The training at Wealthy Affiliate is some of the best online for new affiliate marketers.

I highly recommend checking this website out with the link on the sidebar or you can read my FULL REVIEW HERE!

Great read! There are many reasons to why people blog. Some do it to just share their thoughts and feelings, it’s their venting boot. Some blog because they are very passionate about a cause, they want to get a message out. Some blog to create an extra income or even a full time income…

There are probably as many reasons for blogging as there is blogs, and of course nothing is black and white, things often over cross. Just because you make money with your blog doesn’t mean there’s not a true purpose behind it…

Anyway, what I’m trying to get to is understand WHY you want to blog and things will become clear. Following your steps 2 – 7 becomes a lot easier if you know your WHY,

Thank you a lot of great tips!
